Changes To How Authors Receive Earnings Payouts From Envato

PayPal simply not working in my country, Skrill & Payoneer are not legal and I’d like to withdraw my earnings in US dollars.

exactly as @sarataudio said. Skrill and Payoneer are not legal and PayPal cause more problems. That’s why I used Swift directly to back account every 3-4 months.

The only reason why they are doing this is because, somehow, they are going to save money.

Envato is so community oriented that they don’t give a flying duck if we are going to pay extra money…who cares, we are just authors, right? We are always free to leave if we don’t like these changes, right?
We should focus on producing new content and shut up, while they are busy destroying the company we all USED to believe in.
I started selling footage 5 years ago when it was priced 5$, and the only reason why I decided to work with Envato is because I actually believed in this company, certanly not because I was selling videos at 5$ while 99% of the people I know was laughing at me!
Now 5 years later…I feel enslaved, they tell me that I’m free to leave but for some reason I’m not leaving because I have no guarantees out there and Envato is still a good source of income!
They have been really good at make me feel addicted to this website…and they know this very well, that’s why they just take decisions and who cares what others think, we will stay here in any case!

I grew up in here and learned a lot of new things, I’m very thankful to Envato but I’m sick and tired of all this carelessness… I’m getting to the point where I would leave straight away this place if I had another website to sell my stuff, I would take down my entire portfolio and bye bye, you do not deserve to make money out of me anymore.
It’s going to be a tough decision but unfortunately I don’t see a bright future for Envato…not at all, they are just basically committing suicide and they don’t even realize it!
I just hope I won’t be part of it when this is going to happen… it’s just a matter of time, considering our average reactions at your announcements!

I thought that’s what you wanted though, the ability to change your payment method when required? So why the :rage:

'cause I was little angry, sorry.

But as always , envato does NOTHING for authors , only for the sake of ITSELF and the black world .
All the bad !

Only one Payout Destination means either Payoneer or Paypal (I use this both), I usually split my earning with my partner, i use paypal, my partner prefer Payoneer, As per new rule can i make two withdrawals to 2 different Paypal account? Is it end for Split withdrawls?

An important change like this should be communicated via mail and not via forums only. Many authors don’t read the forums.

I have only one question. If my earnings is higher than $500 am I forced to withdraw only using SWIFT?

Thanks for the answer.

Bad change and even more restrictions. what if paypal is not set up for receiving a payment in a given month? there are times when the account isn’t ready (i.e when swapping VISAs or solving issues with paypal).
And we haven’t had a replacement withdraw method for people that relied on skrill yet. there hasn’t been any changes that are in author’s favor lately.

Edit: And before someone says: “well if your paypal doesn’t work then you wouldn’t be withdrawing anyway!” WRONG I’d have the option to swap for a backup account, and reject a payment if i know it will go into paypal and not be cashed out.

No worries… you’re welcome to be angry. I just wasn’t sure if you’d misunderstood my answer, or if I’d misunderstood your question.

Well said.

Yes.

Then the only remaining option, unless I’m mistaken, is to use SWIFT. But surely that’s the same now as it will be once the changes are implemented?

No, one withdrawal to one account per month.

No. You can withdraw using any one of the available withdrawal methods… but each method has a different minimum threshold for sending you your funds. So if you set Paypal as your payment method, you’ll get paid all your earnings whenever you have more than $50 in your account. If you have SWIFT as your withdrawal method… then you’ll get all your earnings sent whenever you have a balance of $500 or more.

It’s not wrong, because you’ll still have the option to swap for a backup account. As long as the account belongs to you.

Beginning February 28, 2018, we will require you to choose only one payout destination that must be owned by you.

You can only choose one payout destination… but there’s nothing stopping you from changing that payout destination if required. So you can’t withdraw to Paypal and Skrill one month… but if you need to, you can withdraw to Paypal one month, and Skrill the next.
