Can't join anchor points in Illustrator

Can’t join anchor points in Illustrator any idea. They are overlapping perfectly on each other but when I use “Join” command it gives me error. Thanks.

Problem solved I selected the element and then used “Unite” command from Path Finder now anchors are welded, hope some else may also find it useful

Good thing you didn’t try that in photoshop. Unless I’m completely mistaken this is impossible! I remember doing quite a bit of Googling and the only thing I could find was the “combine” button which doesn’t really weld anchor points, it just groups paths…

Or does anyone have a trick up their sleeve?

Cheers

Chris

yeah photoshop doesn’t include this feature, you can just create lines between open paths and combine them but not welding… :frowning:

This thing is very annoying Adobe should fix this.

I don’t think they will because some options in illustrator can have equivalents in photoshop, but obviously, such little details are what makes a product unique… Live with it!
