Hello, I need to close my current website to open a new one. Is it possible to use the theme I purchased in the past even though it is a single license, since I will no longer use it on the old website?

Envato terms are clear about the changing of the end-product URL - means, if you purchase the theme for one project and it comes to the end, you cannot use the same item for different project, you will need to purchase a new/fresh copy.
Although, some authors are okay with changing the URL. As @unlockdesign, you can contact the item author and ask them if they are fine with the changes - bear in mind that they have the rights to reject your suggestion and ask you to get a new copy
