i agree with you, authors who do that , they arenāt take time to design their items so they arenāt care about price

thatās not the only issue buddy ā¦ there are some places where u can manage to do some things with 6$ per day for instance ā¦ but the great majority of us, if we get this , thatās hardly pocket money ā¦ cost of living and so on are influencing on what can or cannot do ā¦ but unless u live in the perfect place with no tax, low cost of living and so on , ten u have to make some money to live decently, this is only pocket money that most of us do here , if buy pull down he prices again, well the only other alternative that we will have is to change job!

Yeah Iāve seen the cheating sites. Unfortunately those are nothing new and almost impossible to remove no matter what you do. Maybe things are different in the U.S., but when I purchase items from Envato, quality and appearance are generally my top priority. Not pricing.
Not trying to start any drama or take away from Envato. However, an author driven pricing scheme is not a new thing and it can be successful. Iāll just leave it at that.
I guess weāll have to see how it plays out. 
i guess so no choice anyway , there wonāt be any turn around anyway , thatās just that selling will be even more a matter of speculation , thatās all , i am quite sure that none of us will be better off

Is this a joke? Or better, is this another joke from Envato?
I hope you guys know that this is the beginning of the end. And another proof that you donāt care about your authors. Everyday we see new authors with copied items and nobody cares and now youāre going to let them drop their prices to sell their copycat items? GOOD WORK! But well, your priority is Themeforest right? Graphicriver authors just donāt matter. And this marketplace will die and will be your fault.
Itās clear that low sales authors will drop their prices to ridiculous amounts.
I really donāt understand where youāre going with all this nonsense decisions. We are just authors right? We donāt have a voice in any of this, so you can roll across our opinions like they are not important.
Instead of spending resources and thinking on low-standard ideas, why donāt you manage a way of avoid copycats? Why donāt you find and teach better reviewers?? Why donāt you go after piracy? āOh no, letās crush authors. AGAINā

Iām totally agree with hollyMollyā¦ what iām really worry is that some of new authors like to copied items with good sales & change the design a littleā¦
That happened on me for many timesā¦ Now they can also drop their prices to get more salesā¦
I think this idea will make many items price dropā¦ i have seen before one business card with wrong price = $2 / $4 become popular items until the staff fixed the priceā¦
i really hope envato will make the minimal set price for each itemsā¦

Your calcs are wrong please fix the numbers (ex: 62.5% x 4 = $2.5 not $3.5)
Individual pricing is a good thing. Itās already happening on other marketplaces and I hope we will see this on AJ in the near future.

The only thing that kept this community alive was the prices werenāt set by authors. Good luck now because like other freelance sites, people from Bangladesh, India, and other parts of the developing world will set their items to ridiculously low prices which will kill the sales of other quality designers.
