AudioJungle Sales Monitor

Had a run of 2 sales a day for 3 days there about 10 days ago. Nowt since then but I could get used to the sales everyday thing

“Your last sale was $19 5 days ago.”

To be honest I find it hard to deal with these periods. I find myself uploading dashboard many many times a day… Just to see nothing has happened.

I am sorry but I can’t accept this is normal when HALF of my average earnings here have been slashed so suddenly in a usually good month. All my other sales from other incomes are doing well so it can’t be Google.

Maybe it’s the fx market?

Why would it drastically drop overnight ?

I don’t think that it’s only fx market. Have similar picture with my sales too.

My point is that it seems unlikely that you’re being individually targeted by AJ. It might be that the FX market on AJ is doing badly or AJ doesn’t figure as high in Google for clients or maybe another reason.

Like somebody said earlier though, this thread would be more helpful if people tried to get to the bottom of things instead of just saying it’s bad. How many tracks do you usually upload? Maybe if you’re writing cinematic tracks it’s because of market saturation? My cinematic tracks are amongst my worst selling tracks and I’d probably say it’s because there’s so much competition on here.

Usualy i upload 4-5 tracks in month. I think you’re right about cinematic tracks, i have old electronic items and last couple of month they start selling for some reason, but cinematic is dead. I guess it is search changes. Not complaining though.

Hello I just recently being active. I have now 3 sales.

I am not saying it is AJ deliberately doing this, it could be a result of tweaking the search engine. Either way it’s a mystery why this happens. Having said that a little sales came in overnight which is promising.

I’m scared to post this here now but oh well, here goes!

I’ve had a pretty decent month with 16 sales (including 2 Broadcast (Million viewers) licenses). Now I am always very active on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter while working on other projects. I have an album and do soundtrack reconstructions as well as the AJ music and I really think that some of my sales come indirectly from other projects. People viewing one project will visit here and then discover a track they could use etc etc.
So I would say keep busy and keep active and you will have more chance of remaining visible. It’s a lot of effort for sure, but it’s a competitive market out there as you all know!

Just my 2 pennies (cents) worth.

Here’s my sales graph for this year. The growing sales from january to march could be a result of a larger portfolio and the slight dip in May could be caused by me not uploading anything between April 10th and May 23rd. That could be evened out in the last days of May though.

I don’t have many sales each month so just a few sales less make a big bump in the sales graphic.

I think your key point here is “mystery,” and unfortunately, mystery will always be a component of selling anything via an aggregator. Envato can’t share information with artists about how their search engine prioritizes items, which is completely understandable, but it does make it difficult for artists / partners to plan their businesses. While frustrating, it is one of the unavoidable downsides of selling your work via a 3rd party where search plays an important role in determining how visible you are to potential buyers.

Having said all of that, this is Envato’s website, and we chose to sell our work here. I think it’s important to focus on creating the best work we can and marketing it to the best of our ability. If it doesn’t find an audience here, this is far from the only outlet for selling audio.

This is a very challenging business in general, and my guess is that it will not get easier anytime soon. But look at it this way… where is the fun in conquering something that is easy?

I wish you all the best.

After looking at my stuff I’ve noticed several things. Almost all of my stuff is “cinematic” is the first thing. Secondly, I do this VERY sparsely as it’s really only a “hobby”. Visual fine art is my main gig, gallery shows. The secondly I’m realized my sales are only $11.50 less than this time last year. So it’s ok I suppose. After I get caught up with my upcoming shows I will focus on learning more in music for a few months and try to get away from “cinematic” styles.

Dead again today. Something seriously wrong for such a huge huge drop. Good sales elsewhere. Thank God for elsewhere.

OK either tell as all where that ‘elsewhere’ is or stop making us jealous

I don’t think it’s ethical practice to name other sites here. Just Google it. Easy enough.

Empty weekend. One sale more and it could be a stable week.

No sales on new items these days. Only sales on old items.
