This story is a bit long but you can read it if you want.This is my story here.
There are few things here…Very illogical or maybe logical (if that’s how this marketplace functions)
I started my career here on November 2014 year. With first few items i earned 250$ and i was in the clouds!Next month, i havent uploaded nothing and guess what, my sales droped to 150$ with even 2-3 items MORE added to the portfolio in December…I was new here and i was wondering how that is possible when i have more items then in November?
And then January was ordinary bad, i barely earned 150$ and then, i got to Top New Files list and i earned amazing 615$.
I thought "Thats it! I have made it! I made a hit, my sales will now grow!"
But guess what, nope. Next month, after the file was gone from top new files, my sales droped again, BUT, i was very motivated in that moment, i was uploading items every 2-3 days and i menaged to keep the sales.But those sales were not like in February.They were cutted by half and i with some mass licence i did some score about 350-400$ that month…Then i kept uploading and kept my earnings at 390-450-500$ untill August came. Shocking drop in sales to 240$ that month…I was shocked, i tryed to pick up with uploads when review time was about 7-10 days and i picked up a bit…Then October was simply amazing! 710$, my best month ever here! I was happy again, i couldn’t belive, no top new item, nothing specific happened, it’s just October.
My story begins after October…The “going down” comes just right in November…Plummeting sales month by month and i just can’t find a way to pick it up…Even with new items…I uploaded, uploaded, uploaded and uploaded but nothing…Just nothing…I couldn’t belive really that my items just dont sell…I was thinking “Hey Envato! I got 60 items on the portfolio, what is damn happening?!” Last year when i started i had barely 10 items and i earned MORE then! Something is obviosly VERY wrong, but i can’t figure out what…Here comes the end of the story…Today is May 26. and do you know how much i have earned? 138$ …Yes 138$ , with 69 items on portfolio…
I have uploaded 8 new items in last 10 days…I really gave my best in last 2 months when i stoped uploading…I made those tracks to be quality, to sound quality…To MEAN something…If those new items doesn’t pick this situation a bit, there is NO REASON to stay here…Don’t get me wrong - I LOVE ENVATO, i love all people here, all are kind and very good people.I learned ALOT here, but some things are dificult for some people.Some of them were lucky enough to be featured or somehow raise their sales at some level and keep them there…I simply can’t and not making any progress here to better even with new uploads.I don’t ever expect to be featured or something like that, im not expecting anything from Envato, only ONE thing : FAIR PLAY. For all of us.
I was maybe a bit honest more then i should but this is me, this is what i feel, what i suffer or expiriance…I don’t want to leave this place because sometimes, even with bad earnings, i find peace and kindness here on forums or even just listening to new songs…The conclusion is > Only NEW MATHERIAL…Because old goes into the oblivion, new matherial comes and there is big competition…Only constant uploads can keep you selling here or maybe not?
