I’m not a big seller, considering that I’m still learning, and the acceptance of 3 of my only 6 tracks was questionable… but one indicator of the holidays coming to an end is the views that are going up! I had a new track with no views while it was on the first page! Now, suddenly all of my tracks seem to get views again… let’s hope for some sales!

It is illegal to display a price if you have no intention to sell at this price.
Don’t tell me these author really intend to sell their items several thousands dollars… 
That’s the thing though… you can’t prove that they have no intention of selling at $1m, unless they specifically state that they have no intention of selling at $1m… or they do something that demonstrates that they have no intention, or never had any intention, to sell their item at $1m. Until either of those things happens, nothing illegal has taken place, as it’s not illegal to price your products at $1m.
Somebody has done something against the law though… it’s either the person who is breaking pricing laws (if they are), or the person accusing somebody of breaking the law (if they aren’t), as that would make it a defamatory statement.

Envato really opened up a can of worms with its (basically irrelevant and unnecessary) warning about price-fixing.
While we might want to think we’re players, wheeling and dealing and making an impact on the world economy, we’re not talking about commodities here. It’s stock music!!

I can’t believe you’ve reopened this conversation. 
It got so heated the other day that a mod had to step in and a bunch of posts got removed/deleted. I really think the whole ‘legal’ conversation on that topic should have it’s own thread and keep this one back on track on sales.

Since I was one of the actors in “Legal Conversation”, the bad b-movie from a few days ago, I’ll go first with a post about sales, so here it goes:
My sales are pretty satisfying! It feels like the summer vacancies are slowly coming to an end and all will return to normal soon. Good luck to all of us!

I hate it when summer ends, but for sales, Autumn does have its merits.I think sales will gradually return for most of us soon.
September is closer and closer. Many people will soon hide from the sun and go back to their basements to work on Vlogs, short movies and ads to sell new revolutionary laundry soap and stuff.

Hey, yes, you are not doing too bad - if I understand well you did not upload anything for nearly one year
But this means that with a nice and big portfolio, you can get income without having to upload constantly I guess?
Sometimes it does not happen the way we hope. Last summer gave me the best earnings. And passed the autumn - a great collapse in sales. I’m not sure that this autumn will please
