Thanks for your question @Revturkey. As mentioned previously, Authors on Elements see the value of incremental recurring revenue that comes in addition to the earnings they get from Envato Market.
It’s not about decreasing the value of items that authors create on Market but to introduce a new recurring earning opportunity for authors to earn from those same items with a different type of customer. The idea behind this is also to increase the overall lifetime value of a customer. This means doing what we can to turn one-time buyers into long-term customers.
In terms of earnings, they will certainly differ based on individual authors, but we have already seen the positive impact this has had on authors. Video authors on Elements for example, have seen their earnings increase with Elements, with some authors earning more with Elements now, than they were on Market alone.
