500 (Internal Server) Error when trying to update Newspaper theme

My wordpress indicated that there was a new version of Newspaper theme available. I clicked to update it, and it resulted in a “We’ve happend upon a bit of a problem… 500 (Internal Server) Error”. I am running WP on a Windows server hosted at GoDaddy. I have access to FTP.
