Why envato has only 44.1kHz and 16 bit sound files option to be uploaded?
For example, I want to upload unique sound atmospheres which I had recorded with high-end quality.
Believe me! Through 11 years no one asked me if I have higher quality version of any sound I sell here. Probably there’s no need to offer them.

It’s a compromise between extra usability (maybe 0.1% could use a higher samplerate to slow something down) and format confusion/storage space.
I dare you to find anyone who can reliably pick out the difference in a 100-file blind test…
