Who Published Our Item on Another Site before it was even purchased? How can this be possible??

We have a big concern about our item, which was released on January 22. On the same date, someone published it on another site where users can buy it. How is this possible? This is a grave and distracting issue—how can we control it.

Please give some suggestions regarding this.
Does Envato assign members to this type of case?

Because it same date and at that time no one purchase that item too

No one cares. Envato is washing its hands, and it’s our responsibility to file a DMCA notice. What I am suggesting here is if it’s an illegal source where your item was published.

I am fairly certain that Envato do have resource that address these websites but not on an individual case basis.

The DCMA is the right option but Envato cannot do that because they are not the copyright holder of the item.

If someone buys our product and then lists it on another site, that might be possible. But in this case, no one has purchased it, so how was it uploaded to another site on the same date. Is there some kind of dark web where people can just download the entire script and everything from just the url on codecanyon. If yes then they have to do everything in their power to prevent this.

@LumenMedia I can understand this case if someone purchased our script and then uploaded to a third party site. I understand that we have no control over this and Envato does not care regarding this but in our case no one had purchased the script yet somehow, someone managed to get hold of our project from codecanyon and post it to their site.

Is there some kind of phishing site where users can download the entire script form just the url on codecanyon?? is so envato must do something in order to protect this from happening, otherwise what is point of our hard work and them taking so much commission form us. I don’t understand what is going on but this is a disgrace

Without downloading the other copy it’s hard to tell but in many cases like this it’s a half packed rip off from the demo and full of malware rather than being a viable copy

I checked the product you uploaded recently and found it listed on some websites. However, these sites are run by scammers. They don’t actually have your item in stock; they just show it to trick users into thinking they can buy it at a cheaper price. In reality, they never deliver the product, and users end up losing their money. There’s no need to worry—these are fraudulent sites, and your product is safe. They might be using the Envato API to pull details of newly uploaded items (https://build.envato.com/api/#market_getNewFiles) and deceiving visitors with false claims in order to trick them into making a purchase and scamming them. You can find these sites mentioned on Trustpilot by those who have fallen prey to their traps.
