where to host flash files for free for blogs?

I don’t believe tat i spent almost half day on this.

  • I couldnt able to find a place to put a piece of swf file for free.

My friend wanted a flash banner for a blogger blog. There is no server space therefore.

I tried Google Sites, attaching swf on it, and point to url from blogger. It was working for awhile, but after a few revisions of the swf (i.e republish again for changes…) it stopped working! Almost got crazy bcoz of the inconsistencies.

I wanted to try imageshack, they can accept swf, but they complain my swf is not right.

Any advice?
Thanks!!

Check that your swf is not trying to connect to data in other servers, as that will cause some security issues. Security policies has changed for flash plugin, due to some problems in the past versions. More info here (or search for “crossdomain.xml + flash”):

edit: maybe ImageShack didn’t accept your swf for this reason.

I have tested Google Sites too… but it stopped working after awhile without altering the swf file. I think they do that to prevent “file hosting for use in other websites”.

Thanks for the response. ya screw it.
Google sites should just block uploading of .swf file type if they are not accepting it in order not to waste pple’s time.

pez: my flash is purely animation with zero line of codes. so, strange, i think iwill try imageshack again for different flash player version.

a quick google search for “host swfs” gave me this:

I tried uploading a sample file…it’s quite fast and gave me a hot link and also previewed the file.
