What happened to free files of the month, I don’t see it any where.

September, 2024 was our last month for running monthly free files. Envato will still periodically run free file offers but it won’t be a monthly thing.

Please explain the rationale behind the decision to stop offering free files.

As mentioned by @KingDog in the topic above, “It wasn’t a strong offering for sales or author promotion, so we’re limiting it going forward.”

Oh well, as a subscriber (meaning we pay anyway) I still enjoyed getting the little download notices and easter eggs of cool things I might not have otherwise seen. The Wordpress themes were all pretty weak and outdated, but the music and the 3d files were fun as was some of the plugins.
Weird to hang their hat on the free WP themes. Those are littering the internet about as bad as memes now days lol…
I guess we can reconsider our participation too since there’s so many options out there now days.
