Yesterday US passed new tax cuts bill. Will that affect Envato authors and if so then how? Can Tax Withheld change?
Envato is an AU based company so in worst case, it’d effect the purchases made from US only
And they’re a US based company, so it will affect them.
It’s not law yet, it still has quite a long way to go to become law and it’s still unlikely to do so.
As far as I’m aware, they’re probably only changing tax brackets (and the types of expenses US persons can write off); this won’t directly affect tax treaties or withholding rates.
