The Envato quality check is simply not trust-able. I bought a script, however it only works with PHP 7.1, and PHP 7.1 has end-of-life and security risks, according to the PHP official site. How can they allow those scripts to be sold? The author of the script has refused to refund. Anyone here from Envato who can help me on this?
The quality check is conducted at the point of upload and approval (at which point I’m sure it wouldn’t have had end of life or security risks)… but it’s not possible to continuously review every item on the platform against current software versions or recommended guidelines. All version numbers are clearly stated on the CodeCanyon item pages though, which allows you to make the decision to buy or not.
You can try requesting a refund from Envato, but under the circumstances they may not issue one…
