Switching to a New Payoneer Account (Payout) with Different Name – What’s the Correct Process?

Hi everyone,

I need some clarification regarding updating my payout method on Envato.

My previous Payoneer account (linked with Envato) is no longer active. I now have a new and fully functional Payoneer account that I want to use for receiving future payments. However, the issue is that the new Payoneer account is registered under a different name and email address than what’s listed in my Envato account’s General Information.

My questions are:

  1. Do I need to update my Envato account’s General Information to match the new Payoneer account details (name/address)? As payout account holder name & General Information Name is different.
  2. Is it allowed to link a Payoneer account that has a different name/email than the Envato account holder?
  3. What’s the step-by-step process to properly switch to this new Payoneer account without running into payout issues?

If anyone has gone through a similar situation or if a moderator/staff member @KingDog @BenLeong @ki-themes @mgscoder could help clarify this, I’d really appreciate your guidance.

As far as I know, you don’t have to have the matching account, Envato could transfer the payment but the issue may be from Payoneer part.

If it happens, Payoneer may request additional information to provide some documents, I’m not sure if Payoneer would accept the information you have provided from Envato ( In theory it should be fine ).

But the main question is why your current/previous Payoneer account is no longer active. You may refer their policy page if there’s any issue or limitation.

  1. Your Name must be the same in both Envato and Payoneer to get paid. Your name should be the same as you completed your author ID verification process (according to your NID/Passport/Driving license).
  2. No, it’s not allowed. Your name must need to be the same. As explained above point 1.
  3. At first you have to fix your name (identity) then you can edit your payout method from your Envato author Dashboard. Envato will send payment only to you, never to another person. Identity verification is mandatory.
