Smooth scrolling active in Chrome?

Anyone else noticing native smooth scrolling enabled in Chrome? I am seeing the scrolling is lot smoother just like when you have a smooth scroll plugin enabled. I am using Chrome on OS X and not sure about Windows version.

I am unable to locate any release notes which talks about this and hence wondering if someone knows if this is going to stay. It will be great to get rid of custom smooth scroll implementation part of themes.

I’m using Chrome v 45.0.2454.93 on Windows 10 and haven’t noticed any smooth scrolling effect.

Chrome doesn’t have smooth scrolling on Windows : (

Ok looks like the smooth scrolling works only with the trackpad and not the mouse. On both Safari and Chrome.
