Sales for new authors on Envato

Hi,

I’m new here and I had my first item approved for sale two days ago but I have yet to have any sales for my item. I’m just wondering if this is expected for new comers in the community or maybe sales this month are weak in general or there’s probably something wrong with my item that customers prefer to do business with more established players.

Being an established author can help… you’ll probably have a bunch of followers, maybe you market your items on social media, there’s brand recognition etc. But at the end of the day, nobody is going to buy something they don’t want or need due to any of that, and people are going to buy items they do want or need, irrespective of all that. Give it time!
