Hello, The script I have bought and activated on my domain few months ago is now removed from codecanyon. I installed the script on my domain by entering license code, it was Codecanyon API form.
My question is: Can I use that script on other domain? Would it ask me to fill the Codecanyon API Form to activate the script? I want to change domain so I don’t want to test and make any issue.
Hi @bogatzkimichael,
According to Envato license terms each license will be valid for a single end product (website/domain). So, you will not be able to use the script for a new domain because license verification already added by the script author.
Thanks
removing the script from current site and adding on a new one with same license, will work. I asked about Removed Script from Envato. This script that i own is no more available on envato. Will license API still work? What will happend if I added this script to another domain?
To use purchase code (license) again which already used for any website (mean license already registered) you have to unregister/deactivate the license from the old domain/website. you can not use the same purchase code (license) for more than 1 website.
About license API - it depends on how the Author processed the API. If the author is active on Envato market then it can work fine (if the author didn’t block the process). You can try to contact the Author for their support/advice.
If I deactivated the API in that case would I be able to add it on other Domain? Author was not active for a while so his product was deleted from Envato. Is removing from the platform couses to remove the API Process and use code freely?
It won’t work -
In some cases authors are ok with you changing domains etc but this requires you to deregister not just delete the code (process varies between items as it can be in the item admin or else the author has to do it).
Technically each license is for one use so there’s no obligation for the author to approve changing the domain in use to a different one.
Okey thanks for the information.
