I want to know why my plugin was rejected. Could you kindly share the specific reasons for the rejection?
If you share the demo ( URL ) we could suggest few things.
Execution is weak and demo looks like a freebie page/menus - it’s unclear what the plugin is meant to do or what it offers
Thanks for your response. I think you will interesting
My plugin has :
Key Features:
User-friendly ordering interface for customers.
Content is built by the Widget Elementor
Sent Email and SMS (Twilio) to admin when new Order
Efficient order management system for businesses.
Customization options to reflect brand identity.
Detailed reports and analytics for business insights.
And video demo
In Customize Settings
-
With respect you need to work a lot of the demo to demonstrate features - it’s not just about the plugin itself, it’s about how it is presented, buyers can engage with it etc.
-
The video is not really doing you any favours as again it really doe not depict premium quality
-
There’s limited styling generally
-
If I try to add food and go to checkout it says I have to login but there’s no login link or page
-
You need to demo what the whole process looks like for both buyers and back end for owners
-
Look at yours then look at the competition here and here as examples - consider the difference in features, functionality, demos etc.
I am very grateful for your feedback.
It’s true that the actions and description videos don’t fully demonstrate the functionality of my plugin.
Maybe I need to change the flow again and describe it more clearly.
As for other competitor categories, they do it together with the WooCommerce plugin. This is a popular plugin.
With my plugin, I build my own system.
This may not be appreciated right?
It’s not necessarily an issue and those we just grabbed as examples but the point is that buyers searching will see those and all they offer and may not recognise the difference so you need to emphasise why yours is better
Great with your advice!
Thank charlie!
From your helpful feedback. I updated a few things in my plugin.
Today, I submitted my plugin to CodeCanyon again.
I hope it is not hard reject
Good luck but you need to be careful - fixing everything that you needed to in 1 day would be incredibly ambitious and if you are hard rejected too many times then it can lead to your account being blocked
I’m focusing on redoing the intro as well as the options to restrict previously that the test reviewer couldn’t check.
How do I display all the functions that I want to convey in this plugin?
And also wish to know what is the problem with my product.
Thanks for wishes.
i am sad. Because My plugin is hard reject.
I think they only check code. But not check demo function.
Because, I do not receive email and notice from my demo
Presumably you completed all the necessary documentation and item prep that’s required?
Without that the item wouldn’t get looked at
If it’s the same demo as linked above then with respect you would stand no chance still of approval and all of the issues you faced before are still present.
Was there a new demo?
Thanks, mod,
Before, I submitted my plugin with a demo,
Restricted access
After that, I open the access check demo.
If my demo is check complete then it will have an email and a message SMS to me.
This is an email checkout and SMS order in my demo.
But not happen.
I think The reviewer does mean not to check the function in the demo.
So I do not know what my package plugin is missing.
My demo : Menu 2 - Gonowo Delivery
There’s a process that it’s important to understand.
-
If the documentation and file prep is not done correctly then the reviewer will not look at the item in detail
-
Launching the demo, if the design and execution is not good enough then they are unlikely to review the code or functionality in detail.
Here, you ignored ALL of the advice above about a lack of styling, clearly explaining what the item does and what makes it unique, modernising the demo site, offering multiple functions and variations of menus, demoing the back end for buyers and for restaurants etc. and more.
- The lack of an order being placed is almost certainly down to the above but it also highlights some other issues with the UX etc. e.g.
A) accessing the cart is only via the menu page not universally if a user has navigated away whilst ordering, which is not good
B) a user or a reviewer should not be able to place an order without selecting/entering payment options
C) if you choose “pick up” then it still asks for delivery address, times etc
Unfortunately by rushing and resubmitting hard rejections without much change you are making it almost impossible to get approved now without starting over to make it almost like something new.
Thanks for your suggestion.
I will try to update my plugin again.
Hi mod,
I upload 2 Different fields to Envato.
Same structure code. The only difference is the thread structure of running the function
But 1 accepts and 1 hard rejected.
And, notice “quality standard”.
Reviewer is not a guideline error for quality standards.
So I can not know my issue.
