The best templates in the following categories win

  • Best 5 App UI design win $500 each
  • Best 5 Responsive Desktop UI Kits win $500 each
  • Best 5 Wireframe Kits win $500 each
  • Most items submitted wins $500

What you need to include:

  • Wireframes and UI Designs must utilise Google Fonts
  • Submitted UI Kits and Responsive Desktop Designs must include a sheet containing all layout elements

It’s a Contest!

This Envato’s Most Wanted is a contest. And like any contest, you don’t want to be disqualified because you didn’t follow the rules. So as well as carefully following the procedure below, make sure you read everything in full.

Here are the key details:

  • Upload your items to Envato Market on or after Wednesday, February 17th and before the competition closes on Wednesday, April 13th at 23.59 AEDT time.
  • The winning files will get a share of $8,000.
  • This contest is for a “Beta” category. Read more about Beta Categories.
  • All winners will receive the much-desired “Won a Most Wanted Contest” badge.
  • An author can enter as many items as they wish.
  • Multiple submissions from the same author must be different to one another.
  • Converting existing PSD templates are accepted in this contest.
  • An author can win a maximum of two (2) “Best Category” prizes.
  • A single item can win multiple prizes.
  • If there is a tie for ‘Most Items Submitted’ the prize money will be be shared equally
  • Eligible items must be related to the prize categories, and meet all above eligibility criteria.
  • Final eligibility of entries is determined by Envato staff.
  • Envato staff to judge prize winners.
  • The quality of the templates, experience, design, functionality and overall relevancy to the contest will be key criteria in “Best Item” judging.
  • Envato & judges retain the right not to award Best Item prizes at their sole discretion if they deem appropriate levels of skill have not been met.
  • Prizes are payable only via PayPal, Moneybookers/Skrill, or Payoneer.
  • Only new items uploaded to the site within the contest time period are eligible.
  • The entry deadline is based on the date of the final submission/resubmission leading to the item’s approval on Envato Market. Not the date of final approval.

We’ll announce the winners a few weeks after the event closes, and send out the prizes several weeks after that. So, let’s get started.

Great contest!
I am a little confused how this works with the whole “beta thingy” :slight_smile:
Do we need to drop a line first, so we can have a invite? Or just the regular way?

Hi there @eightmad. We’re happy to hear that you like the contest concept!

For now, there’s no need to worry about this being a Beta Category. As an EMW, the Sketch Category will be open for the entirety of the contest, and reviews will commence once a week.

Can we include the image placeholders generated by Content Generator Plugin in the item file? How does this work regarding licensing, I’m just curious. I find it the same as using Font Awesome icons.

Open source assets have licenses attached to them, so please read the license terms first. There is a common misconception that because something is ‘open source’ it’s free you can do as you please with the item. This is not the case. It is true that anything licensed as ‘open source’ should have some common elements outlined here but the specific licenses vary in what they do and don’t allow.

Thanks, in this case, after further investigation it seems that the content generated by this plugin is giving the following credits:
Photo collection Unsplash
User pics Uifaces
User names Uinames
Random data Mockaroo
Custom photos Ian Silber
Vintage user pics Rad faces
Flickr keywords https://github.com/nickstamas

Based on the license use of these resources, we can use the files inside the item but we have to credit them, so I guess that would be ok.

Hi, JoshuaSprague. My job is waiting for more than 14 days for consideration in the category of the sketch. If you create a contest, why not speed up the review process? Just my two cents.

Dear envato, kindly review the sketch category on fast track. We all are waiting for the review. If first review will take more than 10 days then if there any changes needed from the review we don’t have the time to qualify the contest. Ko kindly take my request and do the needful, as we all authors eagerly wants to participate in this contest.
