Do I’ve to write for a 1 music genre for a long time to get more exposure in the search bar?
From time to time I switch genres (I can do of course) to kill the boredom and to keep motivated.

I suggest to keep to switch. It’s better for your inspiration. In my case, when I try to change some genre, I compose 2 tracks in a row with the same aesthetics. BUT it’s more random, I just like to come with new idea.
Various portfolio increase your chance to get sales, but you already know this market. It’s just random, the more active you are the more you will trigger something, but maybe not !
