I purchased a product 1 month ago and now I have only 5 months of item support left. So what happens after that? Even if I contact the author of the item, wont I get a reply.

Basic upgrades and bug fixes are all free for all for the lifetime of the file
Wider support - that’s up to the author of the file. The 6 months initial support is a period where envato can help enforce it.
