Is it possible to prevent CopyRight Claims on YouTube in Advance?

Hi There,

I’ve just subscribed to the Envato Elements Full License and found out that, when I use specific music this mostly has a Content ID License on it.

So when I would upload my Project on YouTube I would instantly get a Copyright Claim and my revenue from the Video is blocked until I resolved all Claims.

To prevent this Case and safe a lot of time, I would like to ask you as the community and the Envato Support aswell if there is a possiblity to register your YouTube Channel somewhere at the Envato Site, so that all future downloads and usages of Music are not getting claimed in the first place, as long, as I stay subscribed.

Thanks in Advance!

Hello,

Unfortunately no. This due to how YouTube set up their system. Nothing Envato or authors can do about it.

Ideally, YouTube would have a box where you could put the license info, directly on the upload form. But currently, there is no such thing.

Hi!

Sorry, but what’s exactly the “Envato Elements Full License”? As far as I know, Elements only covers the extension of the Standard License.

As for the claim clearance, you just need to upload your license to the CID service (Identifyy, Elite Alliance, etc.) and that should be enough. If there’s any issue, just contact the author.

Hi! We’re doing LIVE podcasts on YouTube through StreamYard, and our content get hits every time. We chose music that was “free to use”, and yet we still get hit. Is there no hope in this? Thank you for taking the time to reply.

What does that mean to the buyer? We upload the license we get to the CID, and our “free to use” content would not get hit?

Here, under the section “How to clear a Youtube copyright notice” you’ll find a very detailed step by step guide.

Thank you for the fast reply! Saw this there:

Don’t know what’s going on here exactly, but just as a reminder a license is valid for one video only. Which means that those claims on other videos would require their own license to be cleared.

Does this mean that we will still keep getting these copyright claims although we dispute them week after week? BTW, we do live podcasts in YouTube, and we use the same intro and outro music every episode we have each week, and every week we file a copyright claim. We would like the copyright to stop asking for license for a music we regularly use.

Thank you in advance for taking the time!

Sorry about this, but we should contact the author, right?

Hi!

A single standard license covers up to 52 episodes, in your case, of your podcast. That should keep you from disputing a claim every single episode.

You can as well contact the author and ask him to whitelist your channel in the CID platform, showing him/her the license.

That said, license terms are updated from time to time so I guess the safest move is to contact Envato support.

Best of luck!

Thank you! I will definitely contact Envato support since the content has no Content ID, too!
