InMotion VS a2 Hosting

Im based in South Africa, so Im wondering if its safe to actually host overseas, in terms of speeds.

Your guys thoughts ? Would hosting overseas kill the speeds on my photography / videography site + blog ?

BlueHost’s “wordpress” oriented options are pretty consistent (starting from $24 a month)
Also go for VaultPress and Sucuri for extra security services, and sleep with peace

@ignitetek Please take any hosting support questions directly to the host. We don’t want to use the forums to call out other businesses  Thanks!

Didn’t qualify for the offer in the sense that I already am a customer of InMotion, but they really are a fantastic hosting company. Sales/Customer support will always help you and they do live up to the 99,99% up time guarantee, which is quite rare these days with all the ‘great new’ hosting companies that don’t have proper infrastructure or experience to handle clients.

I have 3 accounts with Inmotion Hosting. The reason I’ve stayed with them throughout the years is because of their after-sales service.

One instance in particular that I will never forget is that with what little programming knowledge I have, the tech guy stayed on the phone with me for 5 hours just to fix a problem that I caused.

See, I’m more of a designer than a developer.

I haven’t regretted being their client since.

What’s important to me is the after-sales support any company gives their clients. These guys are trained.

We call that Service As A Service (SaaS).

I cant speak for a2 Hosting but I had to use InMotion to build a clients website and had trouble left and right. Throughout the job their server was jeopardized and I lost a bunch of work I had done, their email client always deleted emails and actually deleted all of my in-going and out-going emails on multiple occasions, plus it seemed like they were doing “routine maintenance” every other day.

I personally use JustHost and have had nothing but pleasant experiences with them.

PM me if you have any questions about JostHost, I’ve been with them about 5 years now.
