So sad. I wonder if envato builds any other platforms?

There is no sense in Envato building other platforms - they can no longer compete in the marketplace as it has evolved. This is undoubtedly a large part of the reason they are being acquired by Shutterstock. I assume Envato will cease to exist.

I don’t know. Probably yes, it will cease to exist. But look at PremiumBeat, they were also phagocyted by ShutterStock and they are still there… I don’t have the slightest idea of how’s the deal and shares with authors there, though…

As you’ve said in other threads, there are so many questions…

We’ve no choice but to wait until all is revealed. It seems clear that we’ll have no voice in the matter other than to “take it or leave it,” and I suppose that should be no surprise to anyone who has been here for more than a minute.

Honestly, anyone who hasn’t seen this or a similar eventuality coming down the road for the past five or six years has had their head in the sand. The current state of affairs was simply unsustainable.
