HTML approved WordPress rejected 2 times because of design!

I’m really angry now. Two rejection because of design. One month of work for nothing! Because reviewer thinks this is plain design but it is even improved! Why they approved html if it is so bad? If I knew html is so bad I wouldn’t work on wp version. Why they can’t have standards?

Can someone help me with advice? This is html http://themeforest.net/item/insurance-agency-html5-website-template/12632147 that sells well, this is wp http://rayoflightthemes.com/wordpress-themes/insurance_agency_demo/insurance_agency_demo.html

How to get this approved?

Bestcss even awarded this HTML design as site of day. I didn’t pay a cent. I suppose they are blind.

Their is no guarantee here… Our PSD design also is approved but WordPress version is soft rejected because of design and reviewer thinks our theme is not finished…

What is main problem here? Unconsistency of review and every reviewer has his own opinion. Actually theme is “soft rejected” whatever that means nowdays.

This is first review after WP was made exactly as HTML:
Reviewer b: "I’m very sorry, but this theme is not ready to be included in the WordPress category at ThemeForest. The design needs significant improvements and additional attention to detail to reach a point where we can provide more specific feedback. Please consider taking some time to familiarize yourself with our current library and quality levels of popular items and resubmit once it’s ready. "

Ok I got it. I asked for more advanced review in support question and hopefully got more detailed answer:

Reviewer k: "Unfortunately ‘WordPress’ has higher standards in terms of aesthetics. An approved design in other categories does not guarantee an approval under ThemeForest’s WordPress category. Your design has an interesting starting concept, but it needs significant improvements in terms of aesthetics and attention to details.
As higher quality items become available in the marketplace, approval requirements will increase to maintain appropriate marketplace quality.
While I’d be able to provide feedback as to how to get this approved, I can only do after it has crossed a certain threshold, quality wise. I’m sorry to say this isn’t there yet.
Anyway, here are a few areas that you need to improve:

There are a few inconsistent spacing/padding as well as alignment issues throughout the design. I’d like you to go over it with a fine toothed comb and weed out these basic design issues."

Ok I was really grateful for those links and for “interesting starting concept” attribute and with my designer were working on improvement which leaded to theme as you can see in current WP link above. And resubmit. And again new review which leads me to beginning again:

Reviewer e: 1. “Theme is too generic and plain. 2. Current design is something you would find in a free theme, not really ready to be commercialized. 3. Make something unique and avoid blend design elements.”

What? Now this is not interesting starting concept anymore? What can I learn from this review? What can I do? To start from scratch? But why, when even worse HTML version of this theme is selling well although it is not multimulti1000 demos theme, it sells well for a simple HTML. But now even improved it is not worth for WP.

And really nobody can say anything how to improve this? Can this theme be moved to appropriate category?

I’m exactly agree with the reviewer.
I believe that HTML and WordPress categories got totally different demands.
Especially for non-blog stuff.

With which one of reviewers you agree? And do you have constructive advice for me?

Let me guess who was the reviewer, Emil ?

@NRGthemes Whatever. I can’t say. I just ask for your opinion and advice about my theme here and how to get it approved. For advanced conversation about review process feel free to visit my other theme New standards needed for review process!

I agree with every review, cuz i believe that reviewers team have much more experience in such things than me or anybody else.

About advice, as i said WordPress categorie got own demands, which is more exacting.
And, once again, as i said, because of your template is not blog/magazine, you have to offer something very unique, but i can’t find anything unique in this template for now.

@Priler ok I see you agree with third review. Problem is that first and especially second, extended review didn’t mentioned uniquness. Second review were more about details (see links) and spacing/paddings and other design elements. Even “interesting” start were mentioned. I would probably do different changes if second review mentioned uniques. Not to mention that this is niche theme and that I’m losing SEO for “insurance agency” which is really unique keyword in WP themes market.

Same is the problem with me

I have got 3 soft rejection even PSD and HTML both are approved.

The reviewer is asking to improve the design.

I don’t understand what to do?

is the approved based on luck now?

help please.
