Got an hard reject. Need you critic please

I have got hard reject but I dont understand why. You experienced authors can you help me to figure it out plese where is the problem? If I know the reason, I can avoid to do it again :confused:

(2nd question) My work was a psd file and got an hard reject. Can I get a change if I resubmit it as a HTML theme?

Looks nice, but quite simple and i can’t see something special.
Try to add more style and something very unique.

Do you think that can I get a chance add some styles and resubmit it as a html theme?

I don’t know about PSD category, but for HTML current template will not be accepted, because it needs more work to do.
As i said, more style and unique stuff.

As a PSD I can kind of see the reveiwers view. It is not bad but PSDs on her eneed to be pixel perfect designs and anyhting slightly off the mark can cause issues.

  • As HTML - it has postnetial but you need to worek on the typogrpahy (in both formats) esp:

  • The ‘Today’s Special’ Post - type is quite big and spaced

  • Kitchen Store - the descriptions feel cramped and not quite there. Maybe use less products and add focus to the price and make the description more subtle

  • Info / registration buttons could maybe be used to add emphasis a little more.

  • Choose by ingredients is a nice concept - maybe consider different ways to display this e.g. predictive search or similar to make it more accessible and offer variations on the design.

Sorry type - the typography needs work to be approved in either PSD or HTML

I like the concept behind the site and it gives you loads of chances to make the site unique.

e.g.

  • Go beyond the obvious about us and contact - have:

author profiles

recipe pages with ingredients and cooking instructions and inspiration for other items that would compliment that one

interactive YouTube Video page for ‘Cook alongs’

add nutritional value to recipes

  • Use styling to define sections e.g. look at some other commerce themes on TF and see how their items are displayed then apply something like this to your store items

There is loads you could do but remember the more you add and the more complex it becomes the more there is to go wrong esp. with PSD designs and it adds pressure at which point coding it may improve your chances
