😄 Fun Facts Widget Missing from Envato Market Dashboard

ThemeForest Author Dashboard: Fun Facts Widget Disappeared?

Has the Fun Facts widget disappeared from the ThemeForest Author Dashboard? Was there a specific reason for its removal, or is it possible to have it re-added?

@BenLeong, could you provide some information on this? Many authors appreciated the insights it offered, and it was a great feature. Was it intentionally removed, or is there a chance of bringing it back? Many authors are hoping to see it return.

I didn’t even notice it’s gone. Most of the Envato features are being removed ( e.g Free file of the months ) - I don’t think they would be bringing it back…

I think they plan to keep the markets going but with the least effort.

Merging the systems takes time. CodeCanyon sales are going down I believe for everyone but there’re still some authors ( Avada, etc ) they are still making sales ( even though it’s around 4k copy per month not as 20k anymore ) it’d be taking time but with all of these ā€œ20$ for everything bannersā€ everywhere, for sure, it’s not gonna take long.

Hi @SPRUKO! From what I can tell, this one was removed a few months ago due to site performance issues - there are a few authors with well over half a million items in their portfolios (the largest has just under 1M total), which cause problems with live updates to any kind of running tally like this: this is an example of something built back when Envato Market had a few hundred authors, and a few thousand items in total.

Our Market team is focused on maintaining essential services that keep the sites operating like the shopfronts, search/item/category pages, and the payment system - so they viewed the Fun Facts component as a ā€œnice to have,ā€ but not essential enough to divert other resources to rebuild it.
