My first track hard (as nails) rejected!
If anyone can help with some specifics I’d much appreciate. I suspect it may be a bit short. Other than extending/developing the theme I’m really not sure where to go next with it as a potential AJ track. I’d like to hear it from others’ perspectives so any feedback welcomed
I’m also a bit confused by “If you would like to resubmit…” following “…you won’t be able to re-submit this item again”.
What do they mean exactly?

…unfortunately we found it isn’t at the quality standard required to move forward, and you won’t be able to re-submit this item again.
Unfortunately, this file doesn’t meet AudioJungle’s commercial quality guidelines overall, and can’t be approved.
Audio must be fully composed, arranged, mixed and/or mastered to a commercial standard, and have reasonable potential utility to our commercial buyers.
If you wish to resubmit more content, please review the engineering and composition and make improvements to a commercial standard before attempting to upload again.
I hear a live recording. You need a higher quality microphone, and preferably two. Your music has no value because it is nowhere to apply. write music from one minute duration. I advise you to look for information in “Google”. here will not help you because it is a very big topic. good luck.
Thank you EvgenM, and I get the points about value/application/length.
Interesting that you heard a live recording. I wonder what I did to achieve that effect?!
Actually I programmed a virtual piano - played in initially via MIDI keyboard but with a lot of subsequent tweaking. I split the “parts” over three tracks, then added another track using a synth bass to reinforce the lower end, and then pushed through a reverb.
I wouldn’t know where to start with live recording and nor do I have equipment/facilities right now, but the video is certainly interesting in terms of understanding how I might choose/use virtual mics.
I would say it’s too bass heavy- I would like to hear it without the synth reinforcement, it might be more natural. Also maybe a bit too “distant” sounding, so more dry signal in the reverb if possible would be good! I like the mood; not super commercial but there could be a place for it in the Jazz category.
the effect is that your piano sounds like a recording in a very bad microphone. many of the lower middle and a little upper mid and top. plus, a lot of resonances similar to the sound produced in the room. to my ears.
Thank you Alister for your comments. I have now removed the bass as you suggest, and attempted to make less distant by changing the room and placement - a bit trial and error!
Evgen - you’re getting me to listen to things I hadn’t normally considered so helpful.
