Feel stupid about this but I just don’t understand this whole token Envato thing. I’m trying to authorise an Enfold theme.
I’ve read the Envato documentation and Enfold documentation but I just don’t get it. I’ve looked unsuccessfully for videos as well.
Question: I have a number of themes that I’ve bought through Envato/Themeforest/CodeCanyon over the years. Do I just need to have one Personal Token that is good for all themes that I purchase in future or do I need a different Personal Token for every purchase?
Hi @mediaapps ,
If you purchased the themes/plugins from envato market then to get auto update features you can use Envato Market WordPress Plugin. This plugin helps customers receive updates to their premium wordpress Themes & Plugins purchased through Envato Market (ThemeForest & CodeCanyon). Envato Market WordPress Plugin requires a single Personal Token.
you can download the plugin from here:
Using this Envato Market WordPress Plugin you will see:
- Latest version (need to update version) number
- Details view option for the latest version
Envato API personal token:
You can generate Envato API personal token here . Please make sure you set required Token permissions. It may prompt you to sign into your Envato account
Before you create a new token the following 3 permissions should be selected from the list of permission available on the Token page.
- View and search Envato sites (checked by default)
- Download the user’s purchased items
- List purchases the user has made
Hope this will help you.
Thanks
