Customize based on template

Hello.

A client of mine has a site that sells customised candy. Essentially, a company can buy candy with their own printed message. There are PDF-templates for all various types of items.
I’m essentially trying to find a solution that will enable a visitor to design his/her own item, based on the type of item they have chosen. Kind of like you can do with business cards and other things on moo.co.uk.

However, I have no idea what to look for, so here’s hoping someone here might know.

What CMS are you using? You have plenty Woocommerce designer plugins. I have made several similar sites where clients can design shirt, hat or something else.

I’m using WordPress, so a WooCommerce plugin would work perfectly!
