Hi,
What is the difference between subscription and one time buy of theme? For let’s say one wp theme you have to pay around $60 and you can buy monthly access to all items for $30. As I understand you can download as much as you can in this 30 days and all of the themes and plugins will be activated. So what’s the point of single buys except for lifetime updates? If you stop subscription plugins and themes are still registered/unlocked?
Hi. This Help Centre article should help:
You will get unlimited download features only on Envato Elements. In Envato you can licence items in 2 ways:
- Envato Market (as like themeforest, codecanyon, graphicriver, videohive, audiojungle, photodune ) where you will find many more Items based on your needs. In this marketplace you have to purchase individual license for each end product. It will work per license for per domain/end product. In this market you will get plenty of Quality Items from different Authors, which will come with 6 months of Author support.
- Envato Elements (https://elements.envato.com) where you will get unlimited downloads features if you subscribe there monthly/yearly. Here’s the current list of All available Items in Elements, just use search functionality at top to find any specific Item.
You have to be actively Subscribed to the platform(elements) when the project is going on and completed I.e you cannot stockpile items for future use and cancel the subscription. The licenses you get for items you download and register from Envato Elements are only valid if you complete your End Products while your subscription is active. Then the license continues for the life of the End Products (even if your subscription ends).
Thanks
What is the criteria of project completion? How does envato mark your project as complete?
In most cases, a project is completed when it’s published. Bit of a weird question.
That does not stand true in multiple cases.
So if i create a landing page for a campaign that is to be launched in the next month, and subscription is canceled in the previous month. What will it be considered?
In short please keep in note that you cannot stockpile items for future use and cancel the subscription. The licenses you get for items you download and register from Envato Elements are only valid if you complete your End Products while your subscription is active.
I understand that rule is there to avoid stockpile. but it becomes very confusing when it is said “Envato Elements are only valid if you complete your End Products”
How do Envato judges end product? Take the example i mentioned above. If i complete a campaign that is to be launched in two months, and i cancel my subscription as my task is done. Will i be able to go live with that campaign? or will i face some licensing issues?
If it’s compelte then you can use the complete project 2 months later.
What you can’t do is download the item, then unsubscribe, then in 2 months time decide you are going to use it in a new project
end product is your project where you will use the downloaded item(s). So, at the end of your project you have to register the download item(s) under that project. When you will register the download item(s) under a project (your end product) elements will get information about your download usage from your register.

Hello
Sorry but something I dont understand…
I have an annual licence envato elements. I found a plugin for my projet.
When plug ask for licence and I put my envato element licence it tells it’s wrong.
Ask the developper who told no help without codecanyon licence…
So what does it mean ?
I can use the pluging but no update ?
What the interest to put on envalo element if licence generated is no good ?
Thanks for help
Items from Elements can’t be registered, however they should work even without registering the license. There may be some minor missing features though.
