Today I have sold a Music Broadcast license, thank you Hong Kong! So this makes my best month this year, it is similar to those of 2016 I guess. I was just wondering if customers are buying the right licenses at all, and then today I saw a nice financial injection. Past months, even the years were tough, so this is very pleasant to see, it gives me a hope.

What a month - completely smashed it in terms of revenue. Probably never reach this high again but extended licensing is certainly where it’s at.

Well, like Leonard Cohen, I was waiting for the miracle, for the miracle to come, but it didn’t. Anyway, not the worst month either. Just a tad below average. Unfortunately I wasn’t lucky with extended licenses this month, if a big one comes in in these last few hours it could become my best month ever though… Fingers crossed, beers being drunk.

Maybe I should become a monk, or apply black voodoo magic, or donate my body to scientific researches, but I highly doubt it would help with sales. I know when I came here there was all the same talks like «the market is dying» and «good old days have passed long time ago», and now here I am, whining about sales. Indeed, freelance job is only for people with nerves of steel.

Indeed, I think that many of us are looking forward to replacing the AJ. When some kind of audio stock opens, more promising and more profitable, in order to quickly escape from here without looking back.
Everyone is waiting for the escape, it would be where to run.

I’m looking at AJ’s Alexa stats and my own sales. They look exactly the same. A great July 
followed by a decline 
in August. At least I know there’s a rational explanation for the less than average sales.

If it’s so “predicable”, why don’t you actually predict for a change?
Give us numbers, all else is just talk.
If there is such a capping system in place for authors and you are able to predict what is going to happen next month, try mitigating against this “trend” and do something that changes your capping next month if such a thing exists.

A) That there is blue sky and that we live in a desert
B) I have a small white fluffy tail
C) I am digging for buried treasure
D) My kness bend in a different direction to other people
E) There is a lot of sand about
