The API looks functional to me. I’ve replied to your support ticket with a request for some further troubleshooting details. Hopefully we can track this down shortly!
Unfortunately, we are not seeing any evidence of this being blocked. We are able to reproduce this issue but we are not seeing any errors displayed or logged in regards to this being blocked in the firewall or ModSecurity rules from today or our tests. We even temporarily stopped the firewall entirely to test and it still had the same issue.
We are able to curl the api gateway domain without issues from the command line as well. Which indicates this is some kinda issue on the remote end most likely.
Connection #0 to host api.envato.com left intact
expatads@az1-ls3 [~]#
We also disabled all the plugins temporarily to test and also tested with WordPress default rules and this also had no effect.
Seems like other people have had this problem before we recommend reaching out to them and having them investigate. Once they let us know what this error means and how it’s being blocked we can look further.
Can you provide some details about the issue you’re seeing? I don’t see anything obvious wrong with the API at the moment (I ran some manual tests, plus we have monitoring, alerting, and a suite of automated tests that run continuously). Not to say you’re not experiencing a problem, but I don’t see anything wrong from our end.
Yes, you can find more details in the ticket [Removed By MOD]. We still haven’t received a response . This happens wherever we use the API and on different servers . The answer that we get from API “Too Many Requests” and it starts to work after about 10 reps .
Thanks
I’ve just found the support ticket and replied to it. My guess is that you’re exceeding the rate limit, but let’s take the discussion to the ticket.
