I guess by “Special Circumstance” they reviewers try to control the uploads flow, but I ask myself how there are authors with more than 100 items and only three months

I was wondering how long are you waiting for an audio item review last two months?
I’m on 17 days now and still waiting.
I think it’s +/- 18 days now. There’s a sports music contest running, so I guess there will be a bit more submissions this month. 
I had 21 on last
By april-may it will be a month for first review:) multiple contest running so items flood is already thr so Tsunami is about to come
That contest didn’t cross my mind. Probably you are right.
I know that at the beginning of this year was 5-6 days and every next item was longer and longer.
