We're removing Envato Credits from Market

Yes, but we want to hear the author of the idea @Collis! Is he not very busy? Buyers are dissatisfied and go(away from here!)!

Mate, can we stay on topic please? In some cases the messenger is not important but the message. Let’s stay on topic so staff can get the most accurate feedback from the community.

I am not a seller, just a buyer. And I am sorry, but I am not paying 2$ handling fee. Sorry Envato, you lost one more customer.

FYI: In Germany it’s forbidden by law to add an extra payment handling fee to a purchase.

Never mind, i go somewhere else. It was some great years with you!!!

I personally spend thousands of dollars in Envato each year…nearly $4k this year so far (over 90% in credits). If we’re going to be penalized for loyalty with a $1-$2 fee for every transaction (no matter the size) then I’m afraid this might be enough to get me to move elsewhere, along with my other teams and partners.

It’s been a great run Envato, but this is a terrible decision.

I think take out the credit is not a good idea, well, it is really a very very bad idea.
I would like to know why.

Ditto. This is the only marketplace I use, been here since '09 and spend thousands here every year. I won’t be paying an additional $2 for every purchase. Good luck with that decision, you guys are really screwing up a good thing.

It’s per transaction mate, not per item. You can purchase 50, 500 all the items at once and the fee will only apply per transaction, not per individual item. Cheers!

What don’t you get??? Seriously? I’m not going to change my purchase habits for a money grab… I’m not going to buy 50 items at a time, considering some of them might be totally useless. I like testing out an AE project file…Really I think we all understand what you’re saying…And No… Bulk buys are a terrible idea.!!!

I was simply stating it’s not per item, but per transaction…

Yeah I Know, We get it…C’mon mate, Tell them we like Envato credits… It made this place the best for all purchasers and artists…I’d be really disappointed if I have to leave.

That is not my decission to make, I’m just here to keep the facts correct and relay your voice to upper staff! The more feedback the better! Cheers!

I am very disappointed in being charged $1-2 every time I buy something. Especially since a lot of the items we buy are just a few dollars. You are essentially marking up the price of items by as much as 40% on some low cost items. The credits were great. I could let me staff buy items with out giving access to my paypal or other.

To all upset customers: I think I can say on behalf of authors (and Envato crew) here that we are truly sorry for your troubles. And thank you for giving feedback here on the forum, every voice counts for something.

We are all waiting and hoping Envato leadership brings us some better solution the coming days. In the meantime, thanks for your patience and check back before you decide to leave!

do you refuse to pay? I think they will not lose anything, but they earn on the bills for transaction. ha-ha-ha , new business :smiling_imp:

I think it was a joke )

Customers are our everything! This is not a joke!

i customer,
i appreciated sarcasm )) long time in this thread already and there is no news.

That’s helpful. I’m sure there are lots of freelancers that buy 50,500 items at once. I’d be willing to wager that most are like me and buy one or two items at a time. That’s OK, I can find another place to spend my money.

As a longtime Envato customer, I’m disappointed to see the credit option discontinued. From my standpoint, the credit system was a very convenient way of purchasing Envato items. Without the credits and with the per-transaction fee, I anticipate that I’ll be much less likely to take chance on purchasing a file that may or may not work out in the end. Additionally, I rarely buy items in bulk, so the extra charge per transaction is really going to make me think twice before making a purchase.
