This is no "thank you" thread.

What AJ needs right now is some kind of music supervising service. Like, “we need a track like bla bla bla with bla bla and bla but please no bla bla bla”. And then “OK, here are 5 relevant suggestions”. Not like in the forums now where any number of authors can spam a request thread to death.

Buyers “sifting” and “searching” may seem cool at first because it’s kind of automated and everybody gets a “fair shot” but most authors will agree nothing is “fair” when your approved tracks are drowned and drowned again. A subjective recommendation service at a slightly higher price (supervisor gets paid for time spent) would be gold for many buyers, and those authors who actually upload what those buyers are looking for.

Offer this as an alternative to search, and more great “unheard” tracks will see the light of day. And before you start to think this will turn into favouritism, consider that it would be fairly easy to regulate supervision with rules like “only suggest this track x number of times” or “only suggest this author x number of times”.

Anyone with relevant skills in this area, and good knowledge about the music available here could do the supervising, however the current AJ reviewers would seem like a good bet I would think. :sunglasses:
