Hi,
If after clicking “Install Now” you see an error that “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet,” then you probably didn’t follow our instructions from step 1. You more than likely downloaded the “All files & Documentation” instead of the the installable theme. Go back and double check that you’ve downloaded the correct file.

Error: Stylesheet is Missing
3 times I have done this and same message appears. No one at this company will respond to my emails. Any suggestions…I am a newbie and ‘mistakenly’ thought this process would be somewhat interesting.
Is it the same theme referenced above?
The instructions shared above are about as clear as you will find however there’s also lots of YouTube videos that walk through the process too
Here is what WordPress responded with.

The folks at SiteGround said it is missing the ‘stylesheet’. They said I require a new one in order for it to be uploaded.
You are uploading the wrong folder.
Stylesheet etc is all there you just need to focus on uploading only the theme folder and not the entire download with all other files in it
Thanks for your guidance . . . I just tried it the way you mentioned and the exact same message popped up as when I did it the first time.
I am sure by Christmas 2025, this ‘joke’ of an organization will eventually respond to one of my emails. Sorry but this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Assuming this was bought on themeforest and not elements, when you click the download button there is an option “installable zip file” choose that and upload only that zip file
Alternatively unzip what you have already downloaded and share a screenshot of what you see in that folder and we will tell you which file it is

That does look like the theme folder so if a zipped version of that is what you are trying to install it should work.
Alternatively the best option is ask the author

I followed the instructions and still received the same message as before.
For some reason WordPress does not want to upload this file.
I have supplied two different screenshots.
I have spent a lot of hours on this and do not have much more time to play around with this.
Something that was to be so simple has turned into hours upon hours of extra work and time taken away from other matters.

You can use Envato Market WordPress Plugin to get auto update features. This plugin helps customers receive updates to their premium WordPress Themes & Plugins purchased through Envato Market (ThemeForest & CodeCanyon).
you can download the plugin from here:
Otherwise you can download the update version from Envato Market Downloads page and update manually using ftp or control panel.
Note: Better to keep a full backup before doing the update.
