Greetings,
I’m new to Codecanyon. Yesterday, I submitted my first item as a WordPress plugin and it was left for review but now it’s not showing up anymore and I didn’t receive any email.
Hello @thin-Code
There are three possible outcomes when you submit an item:
- Accepted - the item appears in your portfolio
- Soft Rejected - the item appears in the “Hidden Items” together with some instructions from the reviewer. You need to fix the issues mentioned by the reviewer and resubmit the item.
- Hard Rejected - the item disappears from the dashboard and doesn’t appear in your portfolio or in the “Hidden Items” tab. This means that you will not be able to resubmit it.
If it completely vanished from the places mentioned above, it means your item was hard rejected.
To get notified about the submission results you need to enable the Email Notifications. Please go to Settings → Email Settings and enable the “Item Review Notification” box. You’ll get e-mails for your future submissions.
Thank you @MrsEnabled for your kind response. It seems like the item is “Hard Rejected”. How come I know the reason for rejection? Is there any way I can resubmit a better version of my item?
I’m afraid there is no way to find out the reason but it usually has to do with overall quality, starting from the design to the code. It means that it didn’t meet the quality standards required.
I’d advise you to work on it more, up to the point when it basically becomes another item because if you resubmit it with small changes than it can be considered a resubmission of the same item which can lead to your upload rights being revoked.
