i am looking for a simple tradesman theme i.e plumbers, plasters, gardeners etc etc
simple 3/4 pages home/about/gallery/contact - the gallery section would need to be updated as jobs are completed by the trradesman by myself with a limited wordpress knowledge
does anyone know of a theme or would be interested in writing one?

To be honest there are many themes already out there that would suit you - a hugh amount of the themes are generic enough to be used for any type of company. I’ve done a number of ‘tradesman’ type websites from stock TF WP themes - you just have to pick a suitable theme, bearing in mind that most will suit once the “tradesmans” name/logo, trade related images and text content is added when building the site.
There 100’s that would suit, but to name a couple I’ve used for contractors/tradesmen…
