I would like to purchase music from the audio jungle as a standard license for my youtube channel.
My query is: I want the same music for all of my videos on my channel and all the videos will be monetized.
Is the standard license providing the solution? or is it against the terms and conditions of the audio jungle? I am confused about the number of end-product conditions in the license.
Standard license means you can use that music in one end product which means in one video. 1 video = 1 end product. If you want the same music in all videos on your channel, you will need to purchase Standard license for each video.
What constitutes a series (eg TV series, webisodes, or a magazine with monthly editions)?
To be considered a series, all things in the series (eg episode, edition) must be connected, and be released within 1 year of the first installment. There is also a maximum of 52 episodes or editions within the series.
Example: A 12 episode TV series that starts in December and ends in July would only require a single license. A YouTube series that releases an episode every week (52 total) would only need to purchase a license once every year. A magazine that releases an edition every other month would need to purchase a license once every year.
I have asked the support but their answers are still general and link me with the FAQ and do not specify if the cooking channel can be considered as a series.
Still digging into it.
This will be insane if music needs to be purchased for every single video of the same channel.
Almost all Youtube channels have the same theme but it’s not necessarily a series. If your channel about cooking 1 certain food - yes it will be series. Also in the titles or description of the video should be something like Ep1, 2 and so on, or describe that this is a series.
For example a game channel. Video within 1 game - series. Another game - another series.
I guess Support linked you the FAQS because it’s all you need to know to take the decision, since you and only you know the actual content you’re going to post in your channel.
Example 1 of a Cooking Channel using the same track in all videos:
Video 1.
You’re cooking in the kitchen explaining what you’re doing
Video 2.
You’re sitting on a sofa, telling the viewers the story of how you became a cook
Video 3.
Aerial shots of a field, with your voiceover explaining how to harvest and then showing the whole chain to produce the flour.
In this case calling it a series would be a stretch because the connection between the videos is not so strong (different storytelling/filming techniques).
Example 2 of a Cooking Channel using the same track in all videos.
Video 1. “Hello, this is chef Ramsey Bolton and today we’re going to cook spaghetti. Let’s go to the kitchen!” Music starts playing as the chef walks to the kitchen.
Video 2. “Hello, this is chef Ramsey Bolton and today we’re going to cook pizza. Let’s go to the kitchen!” Music starts playing as the chef walks to the kitchen.
Video 3. “Hello, this is chef Ramsey Bolton and today we’re going to cook potatoes. Let’s go to the kitchen!” Music starts playing as the chef walks to the kitchen.
In this case the connection between the videos is stronger and I would definitely call it a series.
