Dear Envato Management,
I type down this message with sheer frustration and disappointment echoing the sentiments of numerous authors on the forum. The current market strategy, or should I say, the lack thereof, is wreaking havoc on our sales, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to ignore the consequences of the missteps taken by Envato.
The inundation of Envato Elements with an avalanche of low-priced, low-quality items has left authors devastated. It’s disheartening to witness the exodus of talented individuals from Codecanyon due to the dismal returns on investments of time and effort.
I’m baffled and angered by the apparent apathy towards the damage inflicted upon the Envato marketplace. Is there a deliberate attempt to drive authors away and funnel buyers towards Envato Elements? The disparity in compensation and the unexplained focus on devaluing the marketplace are fueling resentment.
The solution is clear, and it demands urgent attention. Merge Envato Elements and Envato Market into one unified marketplace. Let buyers make informed choices by presenting both options during searches on a single page. It’s time for management to acknowledge the turmoil they’ve unleashed upon the very community that sustains this platform.
The situation is dire, and the dissatisfaction among authors is reaching a boiling point. Ignoring these issues could prove detrimental to the long-term viability of the Envato marketplace. Immediate action is not just desired; it’s imperative.
