problem updating WPBAkery with the7

I bought the7 theme with wpbakery. It was possible to updatate wpbakery plugin for 2 years but now i get the error

An error occurred while updating The7 WPBakery Page Builder: To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your WPBakery Page Builder. Got WPBakery Page Builder in theme?

Do i need to buy wpbakery? I though it was included.

Bundled plugins do not come with the license to automatically update https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins

Updates are provided by the theme author. Given how experienced the author of that theme is I would expect them to have a fairly up to date copy in the latest theme update. Are you using the latest copy of the theme?
