You are trying to install a shopify theme. so you have to do this:

To start the installation, You should unzip package you downloaded from themeforest/elements and you will find another .zip in it, which should be called like your THEM-NAME.zip. Please try to install that .zip.

To install the theme follow the following steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, click Online Store, and then click Themes
  2. Click Upload Theme in the top right-hand corner
  3. From the Upload A Theme dialog, click Choose File to select one of the .zip files in the Packages folder (mentioned above)
  4. Click Upload

To publish the theme on your storefront immediately, click Publish theme

So this theme will only work for shopify?

ok so I bought the wrong theme. Can I return it and buy the WP one?

wordpress version released under another author and you already downloaded the shopify version, so I think shopify theme author will not accept the refund request according to envato refund policy. But you can get in touch with shopify theme author if they can help you. Thanks

If there’s an issue with theme installation then you may get in touch with theme support and have the issue as resolved

I am not having any installation issue. I bought the wrong theme I. Would like to return and buy a different one.

Simply just get in touch with your theme author support and ask them if they provide you refund without any reason ?

Just to be clear the author is not obliged to refund in this case https://themeforest.net/page/customer_refund_policy, however that doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t do it
