Hi,
New user here, so please please excuse me if this is posted in the wrong place!
I’ve downloaded several PowerPoint Templates, one which specifically states the Master Slides have been utilized. However, none of them use them properly. For example, elements-eargo-2-infographics-powerpoint-template-5GAVKR-2019-01-31 has 167 slides with lots of titles and text - but the outline is blank: indicating the text is not located in Place Holders as it would be if derived from the Master.
Yes, not all text should be in Place Holders, but common elements like titles and subtitles absolutely should. PLus items like the color shapes under the titles ALWAYS go on the Master. While the presentation looks good, as a template it is almost useless.
Help!
I guess the only way to to know for sure if it utilizes things the way you want, you have to buy the item. Though you can also try to contact the author of an item and ask them if it has what you want.
I have an annual membership and have downloaded several items - all with the same issues.
Right, but having that sort of usability is completely up to the author, it just so happens that the items you’ve been downloading aren’t set up the way you’d like them to be.
Perhaps there’s a few items that do work the way you want, but there’s no way to know for certain without downloading them or asking the author.

Why bother to reply when you clearly have no idea what you’re talking about?
You’re asking how you know if a template is using a master the way you want it to before downloading it, I’m telling you that you can’t.
Yes, I know there is no way for me to tell without opening it up, but what I’m asking about is if there is a way I can find one - such as by searching or if there is a way to easily reach out to the authors?
I think the problem is the Templates are mis-categorized and should be called Presentations instead.
I can’t seem to find a way to contact the author of an item through Elements, however, you can see the name of the author under each item on the browsing page. Copy that name and go to the Marketplace and paste the name into the searchbar, it should bring up a bunch of items from that author, then you can either click on their name or profile pic and it will bring you to their profile where you’ll see a contact form on the right side. So far that looks to be the best way to contact an author. Unless of course an option comes up after downloading an item, but I don’t use Elements so I’m not sure.
