How does Envato team know that I am the author of the theme?

Hello,

I worked on a WordPress theme for 2 years and I will finish this theme soon, I just need to understand two things.

1- How Envato team will know that I am the real author of this theme (For sure this theme not on the internet).

2- How can protect this theme?
