google's CLS vital sign on Ultimo template

hello
we have many magento 1.7x websites running ultimo template. We do not want to update to magento 2 but we are looking to fix the CLS vital web signs of the ultimo template so to have more “score” from google, as the CLS is very poor (parts of the webpages made by Ultimo scroll a lot).
