Give me some advice - My graphic got rejected

Hello everybody,

I am new in the Envato community and I wanted to submit the graphic of a character I had created. But it got rejected with the following message:

“After completing our review, we’ve determined that ‘Golden Clock Character’ isn’t at the quality standard needed to continue forward with the review process on GraphicRiver. As the submission is too far off the standards we require, you’ll be unable to re-submit on this occasion.”

So, I am not sure what the quality standards for envato are. Maybe some of you experienced sellers could give me some advice on how to improve and what guidelines to follow so I can sell my creations?

My graphic is attached. The original is a PSD file - 4000 x 4000 pixels, 100% vector layers and styles.

They said: “you’ll be unable to re-submit on this occasion”

That doesn’t even make sense… why?

I do not know…a feeling that the moderators clean competition. As the moderators themselves sell on this site.

If that is actually true, then this place is a scam, not good at all and it also would mean that my work could be stolen.

Has this happened before? Is there any history of that type of situations?

So about this situation, you can search for similar topics on this forum. Which has already been discussed that these failures it is done by those who sells products on envato. Even here
may encounter corrupt individuals.

virtually on most stocks, I have seen similar situations…just doing resubmit of my products =))

The only thing I don’t like about your design is the shadow. I think that it might have been rejected because they don’t need such style in the category you submitted to, or it is not something they think will sell.

Honestly sometimes even good designs get rejected here, you just have to brace yourself for that.

I make sure that all my files are just as I want them to be before I submit, and as far as I remember I had just few rejections on the beginning.

The shadow is a layer, so I can easily be removed. I resubmitted, let’s see.

Not proportional.
Dont use shadows.
And dont worry mate. I have 5 items on graphicriver but they still rejects my new uploads :smiley:
So you will learn all file includes and tricks. But you should do good designs all time.
Or try different designs

Envato sends same text for all rejected items to everyone. They will send another mail. It says “soft-reject” or “hard-reject”

Soft reject mean: They write an article asking you to fix something.

Hard reject: They says nothing. And it’s mean; “Delete this shit omg dont send it again”

If you make designs that are different from those on this site, it is more likely to be accepted.
