The Envato Market Wordpress plugin have all of a sudden stopped working.

Error given:

Additional Error Details:
Failed to query total number of items in API response.
Forbidden

I have renewed the toke, I don’t use cloudflare etc. And I have reinstalled the plugin.

Any pointers?

Could be a temporary issue or you may reach the limit for the day. Take a break for the day and try again tomorrow. ( Or make sure you have the token permissions )

Response codes

  • 403 means the personal token is incorrect or does not have the required permission(s).

Envato API personal token:
You can generate Envato API personal token here . Please make sure you set required Token permissions. It may prompt you to sign into your Envato account

Before you create a new token the following 3 permissions should be selected from the list of permission available on the Token page.

  1. View and search Envato sites (checked by default)
  2. Download the user’s purchased items
  3. List purchases the user has made

permission except the above 3 can cause other error. Hope this will help you.

Been like this for weeks.

Done this three times already. It happened over night, there was nothing wrong with my API key before.

It’s not the whole world. I only use one theme from Envato so it’s not like I need to update plugins all the time. Just an annoying thing since my theme gets regular updates.

Please clear browser cache and cookies.
Please make sure there’s no spaces or tabs hiding at the beginning or end of the token.
Also please make sure your server running on latest version TLS and cURL.

Still no luck please open a envato customer support Help ticket and let them know. Envato Customer support team will be happy to assist you.
